Grant James:
Company Shareholder and General Manager.  When you call Property Solutions Grant will be your first contact. He coordinates and does the day to day work activities, the job quoting, Landscape & Irrigation design work.

Grant is also into his final year studying Diploma in Agricultural Engineering by correspondence. This course has given him greater knowledge and understanding of  water usage calculations, water pump selection, land water requirements using volumes and areas. 

Alyson James:
Company Director, Administration and Landscape work. Alyson also creates the bi-monthly newsletter and updates this website when needed.
Alyson has a Diploma in Horticultural Management - Dip Hort Mgmt.

Property Solutions was formed by Grant and Alyson James in 2002.

We saw a real need for a professional Horticultural service that residential and commercial clients can rely on to get the job done “on time, every time” and is backed up with the technical knowledge, that in this industry only comes with a few years experience.

We have had those years of experience. We both grew up in Horticultural businesses. Both our parents ran Garden Centres, Plant Nurseries and Landscaping businesses. Grant grew up in Hawera, Taranaki and Alyson in Renwick, Marlborough.
The practical experience and knowledge gained by growing up in a business is “invaluable”.
Grant has lived in Nelson now for 30 plus years and Alyson 21 years, so we are “just about locals” and have gained considerable knowledge of the climate, soil structures etc of the Nelson/Tasman area.
Alyson also has considerable knowledge of the Marlborough area having lived there for 18 years.

Alyson and Grant believe in the team approach to their business.
Each team member has a passion for different areas of the business, and compliment each other extremely well.
